During our 3 night stay at the hotel we dined here for both breakfast and dinner. Breakfast we had light meals - oatmeal and granola and it still came out to $50 including tip. For anything more substantial you can imagine how hefty the bill will be. Both were fine and it worked well with the days schedule and killing time before he next shuttle departed for town. We had dinner here the same day. We had both the ahi and Ono poke, crab cakes and the $68 rib eye steak (can't remember oz) but hubby was full by the end of the night. We also topped of the meal with malasadas (Portuguese donuts sort of like beignets). It comes with vanilla chocolate and strawberry jam. If poss request ALL vanilla it was by far the best. Total dinner including tip was ~$180. Mind you I didn't have a main as 2 of the 3 apps were my meal. We preferred their menu to kailani downstairs. Saving Nobu for our last night. :)

Ambiance is really nice. Now let's talk about the food. The menu is really quite delicious sounding. Unfortunately sounds good and taste good are entirely different. I ordered the tuna poki appetizer to start. Big eye tuna and Hawaii go together right? Not here it was bland and uneventful. Next clams in a saffron broth with Portuguese sausage. Not bad but a bit salty. The broccoli soup boring and bland, chopped salad average, grilled broccolini soft and without flavor, lobster mashed potato's good. Scallop dish was good. For the price it wasn't really worth it.

Overall our meal was good but not impressive. Our steaks were cooked well but the sides were a bit bland for our taste. The chocolate souffle for dessert was a bit too "eggy" tasting and there wasn't an appropriate ratio of souffle to ice cream (just seemed odd to have so much of one and so little of the other)... our waiter offered to give us more ice cream afterwards without us asking but we were done eating so it was like "thanks but you should have offered sooner". The service was slow compared to the other restaurants. We had a much more flavorful meal at Kailani down by the pool! Plus our server there was downright amazing. Highly recommend skipping this place in favor of the other restaurants on the property.

We have mixed reviews on this one. One of us thought it was really great, the other thought it was nothing to write home about. The really great: Appetizers, Pan Roasted Scallops and Steakhouse Wedge. Entrée, Ahi Tuna. The nothing to write home about: Pan Seared Mahi Mahi. The reason there is nothing to write home about on this is that this is a really basic meal of fish, mashed potato and steamed vegetable. That's it. It was all prepared well, just nothing exciting for the $$$ price.

Okay, gas was like $5.60 or something ridiculous a gallon on Lana'i so you have to take the price to value ratio with a grain of salt. Luckily for me, we had brunch here after 2 days at Manele Bay so by this time we were somewhat acclimated to the hefty price tags you pay on the island, especially at a Four Seasons resort. The view was spectacular. Such wonderful ambiance, probably the best Sunday brunch view I have ever had. Service was friendly, yes, a little laid back but you are on Lana'i after all. I think the buffet price was $34, including fruits, yogurt, Brioche French Toast (my fave), pancakes, waffles and toppings, made to order omlettes, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, Asian offerings like miso soup, shumai, and gyoza, pastries and a cereal bar. Not the hugest buffet, but more than enough food. Ordered 2 glasses of champagne since it was our 1 year anniversary. Total with tip came to around $100. If you don't expect to get your "money's worth" relative to where you live, and remember you are on vacation you will have a good time. Lana'i luxury is pricey, but we had a lovely brunch and wondeful memories.

Food is good here, but extremely overpriced. It is resort food, so expect to pay a lot of money for good, but not exceptional food. My wife ordered a bowl of dry cereal for breakfast and a sliced banana which was $8. They have a good brunch for $40 per person and it's all you can eat with custom made omelets, pancakes, bacon, muffins, bagels, eggs, yogurt, fruit and any other breakfast item you can think of. We also came here once for dinner. My wife ordered the lobster bisque soup which she was not impressed with. When the waitress asked how it was, she was honest that it wasn't what she expected. To our surprise, we were not charged for the soup so that was nice, especially since the uneaten bowl of soup was $18.

THE BEST MEAT WE'VE EVER HAD! My wife had a steak with crab and hollindaise sauce. She loved it! I had a Ceaser Salad (anchovies on the side!) and the "American" Wagyu Sirloin. SO GOOD!! Yes, it's pricey but what do you expect at a resort? I've paid more than double for much worse preparations of steak so hats off to the cooks!

My husband and I just ended our stay at the Four Seasons Lanai- Manele Bay and One Forty was one of our happiest experiences on the island. After we did the phenomenal tasting menu on our first night, we decided to do the tasting menu at Nobu the next night. It was nowhere close to as good, and we spent the remainder of our evenings dining at One Forty. The staff was lovely and much friendlier than the resort staff overall, and the new chef was friendly, accommodating, innovative, and humble in comparison to his talent. The short ribs are out of this world- a must have.

Went here for breakfast on sunday, everyone knows the breakfast/brunch at four seasons is usually very good... So we get a nice table with a nice view the service was very good but the food was lacking.. We decided to order Ala Carte cause I remember last time I went to a four seasons buffet the food was lacking so we order our food which ended up being more then the buffet would have been but we wanted to have food brought to us so no big deal.... I ordered the Eggs Benedict and my friend ordered Eggs with Turkey Sausage some English Muffins and a Bowl of Oatmeal... Ok so with mine the Potatoes were cold the English Muffin was Soggy and the ham was cold... I hate sending food back but this was to much of a mess to not send back.. So I send it back and tell them to not place it on the muffin I will do it when it gets to me so I don't have another Soggy muffin situation lol.. Its amazing how many people do not know how to make a simple Eggs Benedict.. So i get it back the food is warmer but now the eggs are completely over cooked hardly any yolk to to drip down the muffin oh well... So all and all it sucked.. My friends food was cooked good but was served cold/warm at best... So all and all the food wasn't Hot but tasted good and the Service was great.. So a solid 3star....

You are at the four seasons; expect four seasons prices. (which by the way compare very favorably to the high end restaurants on Maui). We had excellent meals. Great view. Impeccable service. Tapioca waffles might be the best breakfast I've had, ever.

Breakfast at the court was part of our package on the days we golfed. I'm pretty glad that it was because there are not that many food options around Lanai. The Buffet had your typical bacon, sausage and eggs spread, omelet station, fruit, pancakes, waffles, oatmeal and bread and pastries. It really was a nice Buffet and everything was good, but wow prices were steep. Just wish they could comp me a free pass on the other days, because outside of going into town you're kind of stuck. That sure made me appreciate the convenience if Starbucks and greasy spoons on every corner back home.

We dined throughout the resort and local establishment eateries when we were on Lanai for our honeymoon and the service and food at the Hulopo'e Court were by far the worst we saw. Actually, the food at the whole of the Manele Bay resort couldn't compare to the offerings in Lanai City or the Lodge at Koele. The service staff was somewhat rude when we wanted tap water to drink (instead of paying for bottled water) and were completely dismissive when we brought in beverages we had purchased at the resort bar. The food was uninspired, offerings on the plate did not flow well together, and the whole experience left me hungry and wishing we had eaten somewhere, ANYWHERE, else. If you must eat the Four Seasons at Manele try Ihilani, the clubhouse at the golf course, or take the shuttle into town and try the Lanai City Grille.

This is some of the best hotel cuisine I've ever had. We dined for both breakfast and dinner and were pleased with both. Breakfast: The banana macadamia stuffed french toast is a can't miss. The brioche french toast is AWESOME and all of accoutrements just add to the deliciousness. Oh yeah, coconut syrup on french toast is amazing. The lana'i breakfast was also quite good. Dinner: It seemed like with every course the food just got increasingly better. We started with the corn soup which was tasty. The entrees we ordered--both fish dishes--were divine. The fish was perfectly cooked and the sides were great. The macaroni and cheese was ridiculously delicious. We were so enamored with it that we took it back to our room and ate it cold the next morning (it was still awesome, btw). Drinks: The cocktails at One Forty were the best we had at either of the Four Seasons the entire trip. The after-dinner coffee cocktails are a perfect way to end dinner. If you are staying at the Four Seasons Manele Bay, disregard the negative reviews. Please have dinner at One Forty, you will not be sorry.

This is a beautiful setting. The restaurant itself is beautifully done and the staff is genuinely friendly and accommodating. Our service was very good. The meal itself was fine and artistically presented, but fell short of our expectations. A restaurant of this stature should offer a memorable experience, not just an acceptable dinner. Our group had the fresh Ono, mahi-mahi, the lobster & filet, and the ribeye. The ribeye was apparently the best of the four. The seafood was a little over cooked making the lobster a little tough and the Ono and mahi dry. Is the restaurant pricey- yes, but worth it just for the setting and the view.

I've eaten here a total of 3 times. Twice for breakfast, once for dinner. Obviously it's ridiculously priced and if you had any reasonable alternatives you would absolutely take them, but you don't. But, I knew that going in... Breakfast is actually pretty reasonable. I recommend the granola and oatmeal style options. For $12 you get more than enough food for breakfast and it's absolutely delicious, and you get a bunch of fresh fruit on top. If you want eggs, just get an omelette... for $25. The servings are HUGE!!! No one who ordered an omelette was able to finish the whole dish. If you're in a splurging mood, get the buffet. For $45 you can get a little bit of everything. Maybe it's worth it if you like trying everything. For dinner, really, not worth it. Now, they know how to cook food, so they cook everything right. But as far as pairing interesting ingredients together in a complementary way, ya, that's not what you get. It's a nice experience, you get what you order, but you'd rather have spent the same money in NYC for an unforgettably amazing experience. So, definitely worth it for breakfast, probably not worth it for dinner, but... You only have so many options on Lana'i :).

During our stay at the Four Seasons we ate here daily for breakfast and also had dinner one night (you're pretty much limited to resort fare). Breakfast: for $40 you get access to the full continental breakfast (fruit, omlette station, waffle station, smoothie station, pastries, meats/cheeses, cereals, etc) along with any hot items (eggs Benedict, French toast, etc) made to order. The concept is good... your food is made fresh as opposed to having to eat something that's been sitting on a buffet forever... The only downfall was the service. Prepare to wait... and wait.. and wait to get your food. Relax, enjoy the gorgeous view overlooking the ocean and pool, drink some coffee.... but try not to have any major plans coinciding too closely with breakfast, as you might not make it. Anyway, the food is pretty good and they were fairly accommodating with my gluten allergy, though they seemed to have trouble creating gluten free options for me from one day to the next. Guess it just depended on the kitchen staff each day. Dinner: if you are dining between 6 and 7 pm you can get 40% of select wines! There's definitely some good choices on the list, so check it out! We each ordered a steak (for me the wagyu filet and for him the ribeye) and then split the green bean casserole and sautéed vegetables. The green bean casserole was actually really good... I highly recommend it (I also heard the kalua pork Mac n cheese is to die for, but couldn't try it due to my allergy). The only thing I was disappointed in was that my steak was way over-cooked... i probably should've sent it back but I was hungry and just went with it. My husband tried the coconut filled malasadas for dessert and seemed to really enjoy them. Seems like this place is a little hit or miss.... Your experience will vary depending on who your kitchen staff and waitstaff are

Typical breakfast was alright. Dinner, rib eye steak was tough. Overall the staff deserves a great score but in total I gave them a three because of the food.

We came here for Sunday brunch with no reservation and 15 of us. Surprisingly, we only had to wait around 15 minutes for a table. Pretty impressive, considering there was another party of about 25 people already seated. From the seating area, you get a nice view of the pool and the ocean - a lovely backdrop for a Sunday brunch. I believe we had the option of ordering off the menu, or going for the buffet. My father-in-law was treating us all, and he insisted that we all hit the buffet. Shoots! The buffet has everything you'd expect - cereal, oatmeal, fruits, eggs, bacon, sausage, mini waffles made to order, bagels, toast, an omellete bar, mexican station, and pastries. What was noticeably absent was rice - no fried rice or white rice, so if you wanted rice, you had to eat spanish rice. The highlight for me were the made to order mini waffles. I LOVE waffles, especially when they come straight off the iron, that way the butter melts on top. Yum! I'm not sure how much it was per head, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was around $50 - it is, after all, the Four Seasons.

The Four Seasons resort itself is gorgeous and the service is top-notch, but this and the other restaurants we tried at the resort are of course a bit overpriced for what they deliver. That said, the food was good...and the service was good. My mahi was solid and my companion enjoyed her chicken entree as well. But when you spend $30-66 on an entree, your expectations are set really high. I'd give this 3.5 stars if I could... Also, as an experience the restaurant is very very quiet, too quiet for our tastes...its supposed to be romantic and to some extent it is, but there's just something missing from these types of "we-sorta-have-to-eat-here" resort restaurants. The breakfast buffet is very good, but again $35 for breakfast is a bit much.

Unfortunate choices perhaps. Diver scallops with risotto for primi. Risotto had a strange medicinal aroma not unlike bengay or tiger balm. Prawns acceptable nothing more. Secondi was a flank steak ordered medium rare which came medium well and not tender - too much dry aging? Osso buco decent, also with risotto thankfully bengay free. Served without a spoon for marrow by staff who have no idea that marrow is consumed.

The food was adequate. We had 2 courses plus dessert: beef carpaccio, raviolli, and gelato. But definitely not worth the $60+ price per person. But he service was absolutely dreadful, which was a complete disconnect with the outstanding service we experienced everywhere else at Manele and Koele. First of all, we got there at 7:00pm, they made us wait 1 hour for a table. We didn't have reservations, so at the time, we completely understood, but did think it was odd that the restaurant was only half full when we arrived. We figured additional diners would be coming in shortly. So the host suggested that we wait in the bar upstairs and he would come get us when our table was ready. He never came. So we went down after an hour and got seated instantly. The restaurant was still half full. Definitely not worthy of an hour wait. Look, if you say you're going to do something you have to follow through. If you're not, then just don't offer. Next, it took 1 hour just to get our first course. Again, the restaurant was only half full, so there was really no reason for such a long wait. When they took our order for dessert at around 9:30, we mentioned that we were trying to catch the 10pm shuttle back to Koele. They still took 40 minutes to bring the dessert (gelato, which one would think would be pretty easy to serve), making us miss the shuttle and we barely got on the last shuttle at 10:30pm. Absolutely terrible service. We had such a great time on Lanai, it would have been a perfect vacation. But this really put a bad taste in our mouth, spoiling the trip. Advice: Just don't go here under any circumstances. It's not worth screwing up an otherwise wonderful vacation.

We decided on a whim to try Hulopo'e Court for dinner. Boy, am I ever glad we did? Chef Joseph prepared what may be the best meal I have EVER eaten- mahi mahi served with forbidden rice infused with coconut and ginger, served with sesame glazed book Choy and a macadamia purée.... You had me at coconut infused.....ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Thank you- I'll be back tomorrow to see what you have!!

One Forty's Blind Five Course dinner was exceptional! You'll have to experience it yourself. It includes a sampling of specially prepared dishes which keeps getting better with each course. I would post pictures but then it wouldn't be a surprise!
